Vegetable Prep Helper

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Vegetable Prep Helper in Des Planes, IL!

Responsibilities:

• Perform washing, chopping, and dicing vegetable using knife or peeling machine. Guarantee accuracy and consistency of the cuts.
• Keep immediate work area and equipment and tools used clean at all times and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook. Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team.

Qualifications:

The individual must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Smell, pierce, and taste food to check its doneness and quality
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
• Assist in inventory and in keeping the kitchen well stocked and all necessary items are on hand by making note when stock is low and inform the supervisor accordingly.
• Reduce food wastage
• Other duties as assigned.
